Ingredients

1 can soup, cream of mushroom condensed
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
2/3 cup rice
2 packages brussel sprouts frozen, 10 ounces each, cut in half

Directions

About 40 minutes before serving: In 12 inch skillet, over medium heat, heat undiluted soup, milk, 1 cup water, butter, salt and caraway seed to boiling; stirring occasionally.

Stir in rice; reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes.

Stir in brussel sprouts; cover and continue to cook 15 minutes or until rice and brussel sprouts are tender; stirring occasionally.

California Tamale Pie

Made this for a company potluck. Browned the meat at home, mixed the dry ingredients and added them to the browned meat. Combined the meat mixture with the milk/egg and corn meal at work and plugged in the crock pot. Four hours later we celebrated birthdays. The crock pot was scrapped clean. Best rating I could have gotten. Everyone raved at how godd it was.
