30 minThis glaze turns plain chicken breasts into something special with barely any effort.
Apple jelly melts with honey and Dijon mustard into a glossy coating that caramelizes on the grill, while cinnamon adds unexpected warmth.
Brush it on generously and often as the chicken cooks, building up layers of sweet-savory flavor.
The result is juicy meat with a sticky, lacquered exterior that tastes way fancier than the five-minute prep suggests.
Kitchen Tips
- Oil your grill grates well before cooking so the sugary glaze doesn’t stick and tear the chicken skin
- Reserve some glaze before it touches raw chicken for serving at the table
- Flip chicken frequently and brush with fresh glaze each time for maximum caramelization
- Let the chicken rest five minutes after grilling so the juices redistribute before slicing

Directions

Brush chicken with apple mixture; place on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals or on broiler rack 4 to 6 inches from heat.
