Ingredients

3 large eggs room temperature
1 cup sugar plus 2 tablespoons
1 3/4 cups flour, all-purpose sifted
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt or less
1 teaspoon anise extract or, 3 teaspoon anise seed

Directions

Beat eggs in mixer until fluffy and add the sugar gradually beating continuously.

Continue to beat for 20 minutes (this time is correct). Add the dry ingredients which have been sifted together and beat for another three minutes.

Add anise extract. Drop on well greased and floured cookie sheets and form a round cookie by swirling the dough with a spoon.

Let stand to dry over night.

Bake at 325F for about 15 minutes or until cookies are a light golden color.

Yield about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.

NOTE:: Don't even try these unless you like anise.

Butterscotch Pull Apart

My kids love this recipe, a family tradition at our house. I always use COOK and SERVE pudding it blends better. The instant pudding tends to stay in powder form rather than cook. I use Rhodes Dinner rolls, the are the next best thing to homemade. Thank you for sharing! :)
