SUNDAY FRENCH TOAST
8 SLICES French bread, 3/4 inch thick
4 eggs
1 cup milk
2 tablsp Grand Marnier or orange juice
1 tablsp granulated sugar
1/2 teasp vanilla
1/4 teasp salt
2 tablsp butter or margarine
Confectioner's sugar
1. Arrange bread in single layer in 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish.
2. In medium bowl, with rotary beater, beat egg with milk, over bread. Turn slices to coat evenly.
3. Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
4. In hot buttered skillet, saute bread until golden - -about 4 minutes on each side.
Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
Makes 4 servings.
