10 minPatience pays off with this old-school infusion technique.
Fresh cherries dissolve slowly into high-proof vodka, releasing their deep fruit flavor and gorgeous crimson color without any stirring or fussing.
The hands-off magic happens over 90 days as the sugar pulls moisture from the fruit while the alcohol extracts every bit of cherry essence.
The reward? A smooth, sippable liqueur that rivals anything you’d buy at the store.
Variations
- Try red plums instead of cherries for a sweeter, more jammy flavor
- Use brandy instead of vodka for a richer, more sophisticated spirit
- Add a cinnamon stick or vanilla bean to the jar for subtle spice notes
