This decadent cake is made with pineapple, chopped nuts and cream cheese.

Ingredients

2 large eggs
2 cups flour, all-purpose
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cups nuts chopped
20 ounces pineapple crushed, can (use all pineapple and juice)
8 ounces cream cheese
1 each margarine stick
1 each powdered sugar box
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2/3 cups nuts chopped

Directions

Mix all ingredients together except for the icing ingredients. Bake in a 9x13 inch greased pan, for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 or until tests done.

ICING: Mix together until spreading consistancy. Spread on warm cake.

I think this cake is better without the nuts in the icing. The icing melts into the cake, and it's SO gooey & delicous! I recommed this cake to anyone...it's SOOOO unbeleivable easy & fairly quick!!!

This recipe is excellent!! Your sister has good taste. I know recipes are passed along all the time without knowing the origin, however I do know where this one originated. This recipe comes from Betty Crocker cookbook copyright 1969. My son now 28 and I made this recipe all the time while he was growing up. A wonderful recipe to do with children.
