| 1/2 | cup | butter | |
| 3 | ounces | chocolate, bitter | |
| 2 1/2 | cups | sugar | powdered |
| 1 1/2 | cups | evaporated milk | |
| 1/8 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract |
Melt butter with chocolate in saucepan.
Add other ingredients (except vanilla) and cook 20-25 minutes over medium heat.
Mixture will slowly thicken.
Add vanilla and serve over ice cream.

My family loves this recipe, I used left over vegetables one evening to make this soup and decided to add shrimp & Crab ...It's a definite favorite in my house!
