Ingredients

2bottles red wine
3/4cup honey
1teaspoon black pepper ground
1/4teaspoon saffron
2each bay leaves
4each dates pitted

Directions

Pour the wine, honey, pepper, saffron, and bay leaves into a large jar which has a tight fitting lid.

Stir well. Mash the dates with your fingers, and add to the wine mixture.

Seal and refrigerate for 1 day.

Pour the punch into a punch bowl, and serve in individual glasses, cups, or goblets.
