Homemade shrimp and scallop pizza with mozzarella, crumbled goat cheese, garlic, and scallions on a cornmeal-dusted crust. A gourmet seafood pizza worth every bite.

Garlic-sautéed shrimp and scallops sit on a layer of herbed pizza sauce, melted mozzarella, and crumbled goat cheese. The crust gets a cornmeal dusting on the bottom for that satisfying grit and crunch, and the whole thing bakes on the bottom rack so the base crisps up while the cheese bubbles golden on top.
The goat cheese is what elevates this from “seafood pizza” to something genuinely special. It melts into tangy, creamy pockets between the briny shrimp and sweet scallops.
Pizza Tips
- Par-bake the crust first. Ten minutes in the oven before adding toppings prevents a soggy bottom under all that moist seafood.
- Sauté the seafood briefly. Just 1 to 2 minutes. They finish cooking on the pizza, so you want them barely done at this stage.
- Pat the seafood dry. Excess moisture is the enemy of crispy pizza. Use paper towels before and after the sauté.
- Bake on the bottom rack. This gets the crust directly above the heat source for maximum crispness.

Directions
Wash, peel, devein shrimp and cut into half lengthwise.
Wash scallops and slice, if using large variety.
Pat seafood dry on paper towels.
Sauté garlic in oil over medium low heat until soft.
Do not allow to brown.
Lower the heat and add shrimp and scallops.
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Remove to a plate to cool.
Add the sliced scallion to the pan and cook over medium heat for 3 minutes.
Remove and reserve the oil.
Preheat oven to 425℉ (220℃).
Roll out dough on floured surface.
Brush pan with a little oil and sprinkle with cornmeal.
Place the dough on the pan and trim the edges.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and lightly brush the crust with a little oil.
Spread with half mozzarella cheese and half the pizza sauce.
Now add the crumbled goat cheese, shrimp and scallops and spoon on the rest of the pizza sauce .
Top with remaining mozzarella.
Bake on the bottom rack of oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
