| 2 | pounds | stewing beef | cut into pieces |
| 1/4 | cup | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1 | teaspoon | paprika | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
| 1 | each | bay leaf | |
| 1 | each | garlic | clove |
| 3 | each | potatoes | diced |
| 1 | each | celery stalks | sliced |
| 2 | each | onions | chopped |
| 1 | teaspoon | soy sauce | |
| 12 | ounces | beef stock | prefer veal stock if possible |
Stir mixture of flour, paprika and pepper to coat meat in a slow cooker. Stir in other ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook on high heat for 4 to 6 hours, or on medium heat for 6 to 8 hours, or on low heat for 10 to 12 hours. Remove garlic glove and bay leaf before serving.
