Ingredients

3 each hot italian sausages sweet or hot italian, or a combination of both, casing removed
1 cup mozzarella cheese grated
1 each pizza crust 12 inch
5 tablespoons romano cheese grated
1 tablespoon sage fresh, chopped OR 1 ts dried
1/2 each lemon juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Crumble sausage meat into small pieces. Either cook in microwave briefly or sauté 3-5 minutes to draw out excess fat; drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over pizza crust, then distribute sausage meat evenly over crust.

Sprinkle romano cheese, then sage, evenly over meat. Bake pizza with toppings until nicely browned, about 10 minutes.

Before serving, squeeze lemon juice over top of pizza. Makes one 12 inch pizza.

Baker's Holiday Trifle

My husband and I have made this recipe at Christmas, and in the summer for years. It is very light and delicious and always a big hit. It is time consuming to make, but well worth the work.
