Grandma's Apple Pie

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups flour, all-purpose
3/4 cup vegetable shortening
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup water ice cold
1 x granny smith apples enough for a 9 inch pie, peeled and cut
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 x butter
1 x milk

Directions

You make the crust in a food processor if you don't like stirring.

Split dough in half, and line 9 inch pie plate with one half.

Cut apples in thin slices.

Combine sugar, cinnamon, flour, and pour over apples.

Place apple mixture in bottom crust of 9 inch pie plate.

Dot with butter.

Put on top crust, making vents to allow steam to escape.

Brush top crust with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

Bake at 450 for 15 minutes, then turn down to 375 F for 25-30 minutes.
