Ingredients

2 sticks butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3 cups flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 pound candied cherries chopped
1 pound candied pineapple chopped
1 pound dates chopped
6 cups pecans chopped
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 large eggs well beaten
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Cream butter and sugar.

Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to sugar/butter/eggs mixture.

Pour batter into chopped fruits and nuts.

Mix. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet and bake 25 min.

in a 300 degree oven. Do not burn.
