Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups oatmeal dry
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

Combine sugar, butter, milk, salt, andamp; cocoa, boil one min.

Remove from heat and add vanilla, peanut butter and oatmeal.

Stir together, then drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.

This pie is easy to make - the ginger seems to make it special without being overpowering and it's a nice change from apple! I've used different varieties of pears and all work well. Be careful the edges of the pie crust doesn't burn!
