| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 1 | cup | sugar | |
| 1/2 | cup | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | baking powder | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | cup | dates | chopped |
| 1 | cup | nuts | chopped |
Beat eggs until light.
Add sugar and blend.
Sift together dry ingredients, add to egg mixture.
Stir in dates and nuts.
Spread mixture in well buttered pan and bake in slow oven 300 F. about 20 minutes.
When cool cut into squares and roll in granulated sugar.

These are truly a great sugar cookie. I had decorated them and everyone at the party that they were delicious.
