HELP!!!!! Does anyone out there have a recipe for a corn and egg noodle casserole? I know it has corn, creamed corn, noodles, eggs, sugar and shredded cheese and butter but I don't have the ammounts. I had gotten this from a 1940's Italian cookbook and I've misplaced the book. If anyone has ever heard this recipe and happens to have it, I would appreciate getting it. Mrs. C. Weimar
Corn & EGG NOODLE CASSEROLE
2 onions
2 tsp. cooking oil
1 lb. ground beef
1 1/2tsp. chili powder
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 1/2 c. water
2 c. noodles, uncooked
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 medium can corn
1 medium can English peas
1 1/2 c. grated cheese
Fry onions until tender with oil. Add ground beef and
cook until colour changes. Add chili powder, tomato sauce and
water. Add noodles; cook 10 minutes or until noodles are
tender. Add salt, corn and peas. Put in casserole dish and
top with grated cheese. Bake at 300 degreesF. until cheese melts.
