Can someone tell me what the "C" stands for in the recipe ingredeints please? I thought it stood for "cup" but then how do I know how big the cup is supposed to be?! Sorry if this seems like a really strange question with, I'm sure, a very basic answer...but I was a bit confused! Many thanks!

"C" or "c" should stand for cup. It means a standard 8-ounce measuring cup. Hope this helps. :)

It depends if you are measuring liquid ingredients (milk, water, etc) etc) in which case you would use a measuring cup that has a pour spout on it and marked by ounces (one cup is equal to 8ounces) and/or mililiters in which case one cup is equal to 250ml. On the other hand if you are measuring dry ingredients (flour, sugar, etc) then you need to buy a set of measuring cups, usually a set includes 1 cup, 1/2cup, 1/3cup, 1/4cup and sometimes 1/8 cup. Hope this helps clarify things.
