Have you all heard about how Safeway's 2-hour turkey recipe? That would free up a lot of time! After looking over the recipe, I am thinking of presenting it to my mom this year to try. Check it out on their site:

I tried this last year and it was a disaster! I even checked with the butcher department at my local Safeway to find out what I could have done wrong. The butcher said to his knowledge no one had tried it.
My house filled with smoke from the burnt turkey skin. Gravy could not be made from the burnt drippings. My oven was exactly on temp. The turkey meat was very moist, but the rest of the bird was very black. I even wrote Sunset kitchens (where the recipe was supposedly tested) but never received a reply.
My three sons said if I ever tried this recipe again, they would eat out!
