Does anyone have this recipe? My Mom use to make a Pineapple Salad that I have never seen anywhere or had any luck doing a search online. Basically it was one pineapple slice with grated cheese on top and garnished with a dollop of mayonnaise and a cherry over a bed of lettuce. Thanks.

CANDLELIGHT SALAD

1 can pineapple slices
1 small banana
1 maraschino cherry
Mayo on side
Rinse and drain lettuce leaf. Place on salad plate.
Place pineapple slice on lettuce leaf. Cut banana flat on

Mama's 1950's Pear Salad
Iceberg Lettuce
1 Can of Pear Halves (reserve juice)
Mayonnaise
Maraschino Cherries
Shredded American or Cheddar Cheese
Layer lettuce leaves in individual salad bowls. Top with two or three pear halves, seed-side-up. Place a dollop of mayonnaise in the empty seed cavity of each pear. Top each mayonnaise dollop with a Maraschino cherry. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Spoon about 1/4-cup of the juice (from the can of pears) over each salad.
When you cut this up to eat it, the mayonnaise blends with the pear juice to make a delicious, fresh-tasting "dressing," and all of the flavors blend together. One of my childhood favorites -- good-tasting and makes a nice, colorful presentation.
