Had a few these pastries at my friend's place, and they were delicious. Loved that there was cream cheese in it, which gave these pastries a flakey texture that I really adored. They were not so sweet either, which was another plus!
Allow margarine and cream cheese to come to room temperature.
Mix until really creamy; add flour and blend thoroughtly.
Make balls (size of a small walnut).
Place on slightly greased cookie sheet. Flatten with a glass cover with a damp cloth.
Press an indentation in center and fill with preserves.
Bake 350℉ (180℃) F for 18 to 20 minutes.
Remove from sheet and dust with powdered sugar.
Makes 2 to 3 dozen.
