Ingredients

4 each cucumbers young, sliced thick, thick
2 each carrots thinly
2 large onions sliced
3 each celery stalk sliced
1/3 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
1 cup water
1/4 pound smoked salmon cooked

Directions

Combine sugar, vinegar, salt, water, MSG, and bring to a boil.

Pour over sliced vegetables.

Cool. Refrigerate overnight.

Serve with thin slices of smoked salmon.

Chicken Sofrito (Stir-Fried)

This was a good recipe for my 14 year-old to try for his global studies class. Not too ethnically different for an american teen-ager's taste buds. At least they didn't say yuck right away to the ingredients. Thanks for having such a great site!
