Loaded avocado dip with bacon, sour cream, cucumber, and a kick of hot sauce. A no-cook party dip that’s like guacamole’s smokier, tangier cousin.

Think of this as guacamole’s cool cousin who showed up to the party with bacon and a bottle of hot sauce.

Ripe avocado gets mashed with sour cream for a thick, tangy base, then loaded up with crumbled bacon, diced cucumber for crunch, and a few dashes of hot sauce for heat.

No cooking, no fuss. Just mash, mix, chill, and dip.

Serve it with tortilla chips, pita wedges, or sliced vegetables and watch the bowl empty in minutes.

Pro Tips

  • Use a perfectly ripe avocado that yields to gentle pressure; underripe avocados won’t mash smooth and lack flavor.
  • Mix the lemon juice in right away to keep the avocado from browning.
  • Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dip if you’re making it ahead; air is the enemy of green.
  • Real crumbled bacon makes a huge difference over imitation bits, but either will work in a pinch.
