Ingredients

1 can cherry pie filling
1 can pineapple, canned, crushed not drained, 20 ounces
1 box cake mix, yellow
1 cup coconut fresh or packaged
1 cup macadamia nuts chopped
1 cup butter melted

Directions

Place all the ingredients, in the order given, in a greased 9 x13 inch pan.

Do not mix.

Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F.

Almond Coconut Twinkles - 1953 Winner

Wonderful recipe! I am taking this to a cookie exchange. I used sweetened chocolate in the frosting as the recipe didn't indicate unsweetened. They turned out great! Even my kids who hate coconut liked them, the coconut dissolved and the inside was chewy!
