I don't know if this is what you're talking about or not. Check out this site:
www.pillsbury.com/bakeoff/recipesearch/showrecipe.asp?recipeID=41310 . It's called Sausage & Cheese Crescent Squares.

There are literally HUNDREDS of recipes like this one for sausage and crescent rolls on www.cooks.com

BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

1 lb. sausage
8 oz. can crescent rolls
2 c. shredded Monterey cheese
4 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Crumble sausage; cook and drain. Line bottom of a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan with crescent rolls, firmly pressing perforations to seal. Sprinkle with sausage and cheese. Combine milk, eggs, salt, and pepper; pour over. Bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees. Serve immediately. This can be assembled the night before in the casserole dish.

I have a recipe for sausage bread that calls for a sausage, cheese, egg mixture to be rolled up onto a bread dough. Is this similar? I love this recipe?

Sausage Bread
(source unknown)
1 large yellow onion 1 Tbsp tobasco
2 lbs sausage 1 Tbsp chili powder
1 cup shredded swiss 2 Tbsp parsley
2 eggs French bread dough

Brown onion and sausage together until cooked. Allow to cool. While sausage is cooling, prepare French bread dough by rolling the dough into a rectangle about 3/4 inch thick .Add cheese, eggs, tobasco and spices to cooled sausage. Spread sausage mixture over the top of the rolled out dough. Roll up the loaf and tuck in the outside edges to prevent the sausage from falling out of the ends.

Bake in preheated 375 degree oven until done. Bread should be slightly brown on top. For crunchy outer bread shell, plate a pan of water in the rack below the bread while it is baking. Cool somewhat before attempting to cut, as sausage grease is very hot and bread will collapse.
