Creamy Turkey Breast
For: 4 to 5 servings you will Need:
1 1/2 to 2 lbs turkey breast, boneless
3 Tablspoon butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
1/2 cup water
3 Tablespoon sliced green onions
1 can (4oz) deviled ham
1 cup sour cream
1 to 1-1/2 Tblsp Dijon-style mustard
Red pepper, optional, for garnish
Chopped parsley, for garnish
Prepartaion:
1. Melt-butter in an ovenproof roasting pan.
Rinse turkey, pat dry.
2. Place turkey , skin side up, in the pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
3. Add water to pan. Sprinkle green
onions around the turkey.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for about 55 mins until turkey is
tenderand cooked thru. Time depends on height of turkey
breast. A meat therometer insert in the center
should register 180 degrees.
5. Remove turkey, keep warm.
6. Pour pan juices into saucepan.
Heat to a boil, whisking constantly.
7. Add ham, sour cream and mustard.
Heat to a simmer, do not boil.
8. Slice turkey. Remove to serving platter.
Pour sauce over turkey.
9. Garnish with red pepper, if used.
Sprinkle with parsley.
