Real english sausages or sausagemeat ?

I was wondering if anyone has successfully reproduced the basic English sausagemeat recipe containing suet. I'm going for fine ground sausages with just the right balance of meat, filler and herbs. I am using American ingredients only to make them in my Kitchen Aid with the grinding attachment. As you can't find suet for human consumption in the US, has anyone found a substitute or a good recipe???

This has plagued me for years now. Please help. I miss my "bangers"!
