If I were to buy a much cheaper version of saffron, maybe an imitation, do you think the recipes would work, I don't know about the 50.00 a bottle thing, Help in Ohio. Julie

you can use turemic it works the same

Hi Julie,
It would work but not as well as the real stuff, the best saffron comes from Spain and Iran,the color and taste will not be the same.
