Gram had a great recipe for a date roll...not individual rolls but one large rolled loaf. In it were small pieces of marshmallow, along with small pieces of dates...don't think it had nuts. After making it, I think she rolled it in a mixture of sugar and crushed graham crackers. It was put in the frig, wrapped in wax paper and then sliced for dessert. It was to die for!!

DATE ROLL
25 marshmallows
25 graham crackers
1 c. nut meats
1 c. cream (scant)
1 small box dates
Roll graham crackers and save 1 cup of crumbs. Chop
marshmallows, nuts and dates together with remainder of crumbs.
Slowly mix in cream. Shape into a roll and roll in the 1 cup
of crumbs. Set 5 hours in refrigerator. Serve with whipped
cream or ice cream.
