CHOCOLATE MUD CAKE

2 sticks margarine
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. pecans, chopped
(optional)
4 eggs, beaten
1 jar marshmallow creme or 2
c. miniature marshmallows
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
dash of salt
2 tsp. vanilla
Melt margarine and pour into a big bowl. Add sifted dry
ingredients and nuts. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Pour
mixture into 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes
at 350 degrees. Immediately after taking out of the oven, spread
marshmallow creme or whole marshmallows. Then frost with
following icing.
Icing:
1/2 stick margarine
6 Tbsp. milk
1/2 c. cocoa
1 lb. powdered sugar
Melt margarine; add cocoa, milk and sugar. Beat and
spread on warm cake. It is best to start the frosting 5
minutes before the cake is done.
