Like I always say homemade bread is the best. Sure there are good bakeries, but you have to pay some good money on a good loaf bread. Thinking about making a dense and nutty German bread for a while, finally my thought came true in this week. The bread was easy to make, just needed time and some good patience. Starter and one dough needed to sit for overnight; the next day after I mixed everything together, and I let the dough rise for another 4 hours including the second rising. Also I wanted to give the nuts enough time to marry well with dough, during the baking, the aroma from the oven let the entire house smell like a good bakery, it was good. The loaf definitely was a lot more dense than normal fluffy bread, we sliced it into very thin slices and put it into double bags. A healthy, nutritious and delicious bread.
