Caramelized Onion Pork Chops with Deep Fried Asparagus & Mashed Potatoes

4 boneless pork chops
Mustard
Olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
1 white onion
1/4 cup white wine for cooking
1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
4 slices Swiss cheese
Asparagus trimmed
Mashed potatoes
Ingredients
4 boneless pork chops
Mustard
Olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
1 white onion
1/4 cup white wine for cooking
1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
4 slices Swiss cheese
Asparagus trimmed
Mashed potatoes
Directions
Rub mustard all over pork chops. Add all seasonings to one side. Place in pan with heated oil. Cook for 4 minutes with spices side down.
Put remaining spices on top. Flip and cook for 4 minutes. Remove from pan set aside. Slice 1 whole white onion into rounds.
Place in the same pan with a dab of butter on top of onions. Cook onions on medium-high for 15 minutes stirring occasionally until their golden brown.
Add wine and broth cook for 2-3 minutes stir. Reduce heat to medium. Add pork chops back in. Cook for 20 minutes covered with the lid.
The last 5 minutes add 1 slice of swiss cheese on top of each pork chop to melt.
Asparagus:
Trim asparagus. Pour vegetable oil in separate frying pan halfway. Put on medium-high heat until oil is hot. Place asparagus in oil. Let fry until soft. Remove and drain.
Mashed Potatoes:
Make your mashed potatoes any way you prefer. After plating your chops, veggie, and potatoes, drizzle liquid from pork chop pan onto potatoes for more flavor.
