Two packages of crescent rolls form a buttery, flaky shell around a luscious cream cheese filling sweetened with sugar and vanilla. Pop them in the oven, let them cool, drizzle on a simple glaze, and slice into bars.
They’re best served cold, which makes them a dream for potlucks and make-ahead desserts.
Kitchen Tips
- Seal those seams. Pinch the crescent roll perforations tightly so the cream cheese filling doesn’t leak through during baking.
- Soften your cream cheese completely before mixing. Cold cream cheese leaves lumps that no amount of stirring will fix.
- Chill before slicing. These bars firm up beautifully in the fridge and cut into cleaner pieces when cold.
