Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 tablespoon ginger
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup molasses
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose

Directions

Cream butter, add sugar, and cream until smooth.

Add molasses.

Sift flour with ginger, soda and salt.

Add to first mixture. Form into balls the size of a small walnut.

Place on greased cookie sheets.

Flatten with the back of a tablespoon.

Bake at 375 degrees F. about 10 minutes.

Cool Lemon Chicken Salad

I made this for my bridge club. All eight gals including me loved it. The other seven asked for the recipe. It's easy to make and delicious. The lemon and fresh basil add a lot to the recipe. Interestingly enough, Kraft doesn't have this on their recipe web site even though it's one of their recipes.
