| 2 | cups | water | cold |
| 1 | pound | apples | cored, and cubed 3/4 inch |
| 1 | pound | pears | cored, and cubed 3/4 inch |
| 1/2 | pound | cherries | pitted |
| 1/2 | pound | plums | pitted |
| 1/2 | pound | peaches | and cubed, 3/4 inch |
| 1/2 | cup | bread crumbs | soft & fresh |
| 1 | tablespoon | lemon juice | fresh |
| 1 1/2 | tablespoons | lemon zest | grated |
| 1/4 | cup | raspberry jam | or presesrves |
| 1/2 | cup | sugar | |
| 3/4 | cup | white wine | sweet |
| 1 | cup | cranberry juice | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | cinnamon |
Put the water, cinnamon, lemon juice bread crumbs, and the lemon rind in large pot.
Bring to a boil, then add the fruits, reduce heat, and simmer for 25 minutes.
Puree this mixture in a blender then add the jam, wine, and cranberry juice.
Mix well then refrigerate. Serve when well chilled.
Note: Apple dumplings may be served in this soup.
