| 2 | tablespoons | balsamic vinegar | |
| 1 | teaspoon | sugar | |
| 5 | teaspoons | olive oil | extra-virgin |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | prepared mustard | grainy sone-ground |
| 3/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | black pepper | freshly ground coarse |
| 1/4 | cup | parmesan, parmigiano-reggiano cheese, grated | shaved |
Combine pear slices and spinach in a large bowl.
Whisk all remaining ingredients except the cheese in a small bowl.
Drizzle the vinaigrette over the salad and toss gently to coat. Sprinkle with the cheese.

this is very easy to make and the softness is easy for small childern to help themselves best if left in frig overnight
