| 1/4 | cup | bulgur | |
| 1 | pound | ground lamb | |
| 1/2 | cup | parsley leaves | snipped |
| 2 | tablespoons | onion | finely |
| 1 | tablespoon | red wine | dry |
| 1 | each | garlic clove | minced |
| 1/8 | teaspoon | mint | dried ,crushed |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | allspice | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | x | pita bread | |
| 1 | x | lettuce leaves | |
| 1 | x | cucumber | |
| 1 | x | yogurt, plain |
Soak bulgar wheat in warm water for 1 hour; drain well.
Combine bulgar with ground lamb, parsley, onion, red wine, garlic, mint, allspice and salt.
Shape into patties and grill over medium coals for 16-18 minutes or until done.
Serve with pita bread, lettuce, cucumber and yogurt.

This is a great recipe, we have tried several times on eggplant, I think this one is the best one, it is like tomato and eggplant sauce, and other ingredients increase extra flavor, it is really excellent.
