Grilled Cheese Sandwich

This is such a simple and classic way to make grilled cheese. I love it. I always add turkey or ham to mine, and have it along with tomato soup. It's one of my favorite meals!

Ingredients

4 slices bread, white
3 tablespoons butter divided
2 slices cheddar cheese

Directions

Preheat skillet over medium heat. Generously butter one side of a slice of bread.

Place bread butter-side-down onto skillet bottom and add 1 slice of cheese.

Butter a second slice of bread on one side and place butter-side-up on top of sandwich.

Grill until lightly browned and flip over; continue grilling until cheese is melted.

Repeat with remaining 2 slices of bread, butter and slice of cheese.

It is funny to see a recipe for grilled cheese, but I really like to read everyones customizations, so here is mine... Mozzerella with a little leftover spaghetti sauce. Mmmm. Like a little piece of pizza heaven.

Highly recommended for first timers! (sorry, just had to comment). Although this presented a great laugh, I have also used red or chopped green onions for some bite. Add a slice of ham and you have a grilled ham AND cheese!
