Ingredients

2 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup sugar granulated
1 cup brown sugar packed
1 cup vegetable shortening
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
12 ounces milk chocolate morsels semi-sweet
1 cup pecans chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In small bowl, combine flour, unsifted, baking soda and salt.

Set aside.

In a second bowl, combine shortening, white and brown sugar, vanilla and eggs.

Mix until creamy. Add flour mixture and blend.

Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
