| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2 | teaspoons | baking powder | |
| 1 | cup | milk | |
| 4 | tablespoons | vegetable shortening | melted |
| 1 | each | egg | well beaten |
| 1/2 | cup | raisins, seedless | |
| 1 | tablespoon | sugar | |
| 1 | cup | cereal | granular, uncooked |
Sift flour, measure, and sift with sugar, salt, and baking powder.
Add cereal, and combine with egg, shortening, milk, and raisins.
Bake in hot waffle iron.
Serve with maple sirup and butter.

This is the best recipe. The only thing we could add is to drizzle with confectionery sugar icing.
