| 1 1/4 | cups | vegetable oil | |
| 2 | cups | sugar | |
| 3 | large | eggs | |
| 3 | cups | apples | finely chopped |
| 1 | cup | nuts | chopped |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | baking powder | |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | cinnamon |
Mix well.
Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees F.
Frosting: 1 stick of butter, 1 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup milk Mix and let boil 5 to 10 minutes.
Pour over cake while hot and let stand for 2 hours.
