I am new to RecipeLand, and i am hoping someone can help me.
My grandmother was from Alabama, and she made a Chow Chow that we put in Pinto Beans. She is no longer living and neither is any of her children.
I know that the Chow Chow had Cabbage and Peppers but I don't know what else.
So if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

1 peck green tomatoes
1 large cabbage
8 to 10 hot peppers
8 c. sugar
1 medium box pickling spices
1 Tbsp. celery seed
10 medium sized onions
12 bell peppers (1/2 red and
1/2 green)
3 pt. vinegar (enough to
cover)
1 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 c. salt
Put all ingredients through food processor or chopper.
Put into large pot and bring to a good boil. Place in steril-
ized jars. Makes about 21 pints.
