Chili pies

I lost my card for chili pies. (Appetizer) It's my family's favorite. Please Help.

Chili Pastry Pies

1 Tablsp oil or butter

1/2 c onion, chopped bell peppers

1 large garlic clove, crushed

1 lb ground chuck

2 Tlbsp chili powder

1/2 teasp salt, deied oregano

1/4 teasp black pepper

1/4 teasp red pepper

1 Tablsp tomato sauce

2 tablsp ketchup

PASTRY:

3 1/4 cup all purpose flour

1/2 teasp salt

1 teaspoon baking powders

1/2 cup butter

1 cup sour cream

2 eggs beaten

then 1 egg beaten, egg wash

1. Heat oil in skillet, Saute onions, pepper, garlic until soft.

2. Add meat and brown, stir in tomato paste and seasonings.
Add ketchup and simmer 30 mins on low.

3. For pastry, combine dry ingredients.
Add butter and mixture resembles cornmeal.

4. Add sour cream and 2 eggs, mix till you make a ball.
Knead gently to make a soft ball and add 1/4 cup more flour if needed.

5. Roll out half the dough on to counter 1/8 inch thick. Cut in 3 inch rounds. Brush with beaten egg.

6. Spoon 1 tablespoon filling into each rounds center.
Bring up sides and pinch closed to seal.
Place on a slight greased baking sheet.
Brush with egg wash. And sprinkle with chili powder.
7. Bake 12 to 15 mins until golden brown.
Serve hot at room temp.
