I just recently returned from North Carolina and had the beat tea at a visit at the Biltmore Estate. It was Southern ice tea sweetened with honey. Does anyone have the recipe for this?

Everyone in the south makes their sweet tea differently, mostly according to their tastes.
my recipe for sweet tea is this:
2 Ice Tea Bags (bigger square size)
3/4 c sugar
4 c water
Boil water. When it comes to rolling boil add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add tea bags, steep for 4 to 5 minutes depending on your personal taste, the longer it steeps the stronger it is. Fill a 1/2 Gal pitcher 1/2 full of ice, pour hot tea over ice, stir. Serve over ice. add mint for garnish.
