Cherry delight

I see all kinds but not the recipe I lost.The ingredients where unsalted saltine crackers, white sugar, egg whites, chopped nuts dream whip, thank you cherry pie filling..you baked the bottom for a few minutes..then cooled it mix the dream whip up and smooth the cherry thank you pie filling on top...if someone has this recipe or can find it please let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

CHERRY CHEESE DESSERT

3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
20 crushed saltine crackers
1/2 c. crushed walnuts

2ND LAYER:

Prepared Dream Whip

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

1/2 c. powdered sugar

Mix well.

TOPPING:

Cherry pie filling

Beat eggs until foamy. Add baking powder. Gradually add sugar. Beat until stiff. Add vanilla crackers and walnuts; mix well. Bake in greased medium sized cake pans at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Cool.

Add 2nd layer.

Refrigerate.

Add cherry filling.

PECAN DELIGHTS

4 egg whites

1 3/4 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. vanilla

1 c. sugar

2 c. saltine crackers, coarsely crushed

3/4 c. chopped pecans

Sweetened whipped cream or frozen whipped dessert topping, thawed

Pecan halves

Canned pie filling:
cherry, peach, lemon, blueberry, etc.

Beat egg whites, baking powder, and vanilla until soft peak forms. Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time; beat until stiff peaks form. Fold in crackers and nuts.

Spread mixture in a greased pie plate and bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until lightly brown.

Top with whipped cream, then canned pie filling.

Refrigerate

thank you so much I think that's it...except I don't remember if it had the cream cheese in the topping but will put it in....thank you so so much...my brother really loves this and I wanted to surprise him...have a wonderful day.

thank you I see I have two recipes for this now, everything looks about the same except it called for unsalted crackers...will try both of them though...thank you so very much.
