I had a recipe years ago from a ladies mag for cookies that were dropped by the 1/4 cup. Lost it in a fire and don't know what it is called, can you help?
It took nuts, raisins, m&ms, choco chips, and I think oatmeal, peanut butter and who know what else. They were huge cookies and wonderful tasting.
Thanks.
Not sure if this one is exactly the same but it sounds like it:
Giant Peanut Butter Cookies
1 c. butter
3/4. c peanut butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. quick oats (uncooked)
3/4 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. coconut
3/4 c. plain M&M's or chocolate chips
In large mixing bowl beat together butter, peanut butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat until combined. In separate bowl mix flour, soda and salt. Gradually add to peanut butter mixture and mix well. Stir in oats, raisins, nuts, coconuts and M&M's or chocolate chips.
Chill dough for at least one hour before shaping. Shape about 1/4 cup dough, for a 3-inch cookie, into a ball and place 4 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet, 6 per cookie sheet. Flatten slightly. Bake at 375 degrees F for 13-16 minutes or until lightly browned (check after 10 min. and adjust accordingly). Remove from cookie sheet and cool completely on wire rack.
