Ingredients

2 pounds beef, steak round, sirloin, or flank
1 x vegetable oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons sherry
2 Teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 large onion coarsely
1 large green bell pepper coarsely
2 medium tomatoes sliced
1/4 cup water

Directions

Slice meat 1inch wide by 1/8inch thick.

Brown in oil in skillet.

Make sauce of soy sauce, sherry, sugar, and cornstarch; add to meat and marinate for 10 minutes.

Coarsely chop onion and add to meat. Cut pepper into large chunks and add to me meat.

Cook for 5 minutes. Slice tomatoes and add to meat with water.

Cook for 3 minutes. Less expensive cuts of meat may need longer cooking time.
