First Rate Carrot Cake recipe

An easy-to-make cake which is a perfect way to welcome the Autumn season!

For years I only ate carrot cake with a butter and cream cheese frosting, but I was surprised by this glazed carrot cake. It was actually delicious. I will not mind enjoying a glazed carrot cake any more.

An old Welsh steamed carrot pudding -- This is a good steamed pudding, despite the list of ingredients that are "good for you". The sauce (following the recipe) is not a necessity for good taste, only for authenticity, although I LIKE it with the sauce.

Really enjoyed this buttermilk glaze drizzled over my carrot cake, it tasted great but it had much less calories and fat than a rich butter-cream cheese frosting. My husband also liked it very much.
