| 3 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1 1/8 | teaspoons | baking soda | |
| 1 1/8 | teaspoons | salt | |
| 1 1/8 | cups | butter | softened |
| 1 | cup | sugar | |
| 3/4 | cup | brown sugar | |
| 3 | large | eggs | |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | vanilla extract | |
| 18 | ounces | chocolate candies | |
| 1 1/8 | cups | nuts | chopped, optional |
Cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time.
Add Vanilla extract.
Blend dry ingredients together and then add to creamy mixture.
Add M& M and nuts if desired.
Bake at 325 for 12-14 minutes.

This recipe is always a hit. I got this recipe from the newpaper years age and has never failed me. A great dish for entertaining.
