Ingredients

1 cup raisins, seedless
1 cup suet chopped
1 cup molasses
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup water boiling
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 x flour, all-purpose

Directions

Combine and mix all the ingredients above, adding the dissolved soda last.

Pour into a well-greased mold, cover tightly and steam for 3 hours.

Serve with Brown Sugar Pudding Sauce.

Baked Chicken Legs

What a luscious recipe! The chicken falls off the bone and the savory 'gravy' is awesome soaked in the whole grain peasant bread. My only question is, "where is the baking?". I cooked this on the stove top in my dutch oven.
