| 1 | each | yellow onion | chopped |
| 1 | package | pinto beans | washed, soaked the night before |
| 3 | cups | beef broth | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | cayenne pepper | |
| 1 1/2 | pounds | beef, sirloin tip | sirloin tips, cubed |
| 4 | tablespoons | chili powder |
Saute the beef, onions and garlic.
Add to the beans, add beef stock, salt and pepper to taste, cayenne and chili powder.
Simmer gently until beans are tender, about 2 1/2 hours.
